To ensure the very best care and a smooth and enjoyable interaction, we adhere to the following policies:
Your First Visit & Consultation
At your first visit to Martin Orthodontics, diagnostic records may be created to determine the best course of treatment. These records may include a detailed medical/dental history, clinical examination, plaster study models of the patient’s teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and/or X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom orthodontic treatment plan for each patient. These records are also very helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
After Dr. Martin has evaluated all this information, he will discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the estimated costs for your particular course of treatment & procedures.
For your first appointment, you can be prepared by completing the Patient Information Form. For your convenience, you can download the patient information form and fill out at home, prior to arriving at the office.
Patients are seen by appointment only. At Martin Orthodontics, we make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Please cancel only if it is an emergency. It may be difficult to reschedule your appointment since most appointments are made several weeks in advance.
The cost of treatment generally depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss all fees and payment options before any treatment begins. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans, and file the necessary papers to the insurance company. At Martin Orthodontics, we work hard to make orthodontics affordable, and we offer payment plans to suit your budget needs.
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees manageable while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established these financial policies:
- If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for the payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
- To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.

- CIGNA PPO
- Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Signature Dental
Most other insurance plans allow out-of-network benefits. If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available and will handle all the paperwork on your behalf. Payments are payable to the subscriber unless other arrangements are made. The balance of any uncovered payments will be arranged for you to pay (see above.) In addition to providing the highest level of orthodontic care, we will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions regarding our office on your behalf.
